TOTAL DOG "Leo" wins 2009 National Best of Breed (2X)
and "Open Braces" Trial in Iowa
CH TAN TopperLyn Fontay Azure Bo [GRCH TAN Beau de l'Hospitalier x CH TAN Sapphyre Noir du TopperLyn] not only won the Open Solo Liberated Trial in Iowa; but she had a clean sweep, winning BOTH the Open Braces and Open Solo at the Montana Trials the beginning of May. Azure wow'd everyone with her style and excellent performance. On top of that she has now added AKC Senior Hunter to her resume as well. Go Azure!
2X NBOB TR CH TopperLyn Gallant Bodacious [GRCH TAN Beau de l'Hospitalier x CH TopperLyn's Sierra de l'Escarbot] earned his SECOND National Best of Breed title in Muscatine, Iowa. Leo also qualified as a UKC "Total Dog." Leo's performance in the Open Braces (which earned him a 1st place) had the judges thinking they were in France. Leo has now added AKC Senior Hunter to his long list of accomplishments. Leo received a hard earned Reserve in the Open Solo in Montana and a Pass in the Open Braces - that gives Leo enough wins to be a 2X Trialer. Leo is owned by Anne Johnson and handled by Glen Gunderson of Benson, MN.
Lynda took TR CH TopperLyn D'Artagnan to Germany in May and presented him in the C.B.V. National Breed Show
Topper-Lyn Kennels breeds for the total dog. We do not emphasize show over field or field over show, the dog must do both. We are also dedicated to producing healthy and physically sound dogs.
TopperLyn Inspiration [AKA "Ruby"] [TR CH TopperLyn D'Artagnan x CH Destin�de l'Hospitalier] carried on the tradition of her "big brother Kooter" [GRCH TAN TopperLyn's United Front] by passing the T.A.N. under French Judge and President of the C.E.B., France, Christian Gunther. As she proceeded to retrieve the bird to hand he described her as - "She is very HOT." That would be our Ruby, proudly owned by Kurt Stepaniak.
