TopperLyn kennels offers a variety of levels of gundog training to select clients. We are not a high-volume training facility and all training is done exclusively by Lynda and Chris. Dogs are accepted on a limited basis so that we can assure that we are able to dedicate adequate time to YOUR dog. If you want just basic field obedience on your dog - or a completely finished gundog, steady to wing and shot, we can help you.

We don't do competitive obedience or agility training. We are strictly focused on developing versatile hunting dogs.

Puppies should know at least their basic manners; candidates for finished gundog should have been hunted at least one season and have at least basic obedience. Every dog matures at a different rate so it may take longer than 3 months to reach the desired level with your dog. However, we will keep you apprised of your dog's progress throughout the process and you can decide if you want us to continue with your dog.

We do require that you participate in "transition training" when you pick up your dog so there is no confusion as to what your dog knows [they lie] and how you need to handle your dog.
